3.Product Features
The desulfurization tower operates on the principle of using a desulfurization absorbent to achieve sulfur removal through chemical reactions. The desulfurizing agent possesses surface activity and catalytic oxidation properties, promoting the direct reaction of sulfur dioxide (SO₂), accelerating the dissolution of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), and facilitating the rapid oxidation of calcium sulfite (CaSO₃) into calcium sulfate (CaSO₄). It enhances the precipitation of CaSO₄, reduces the liquid-gas ratio, lowers the calcium-sulfur ratio (Ca/S), and minimizes water evaporation. The desulfurization tower effectively achieves sulfur removal through this mechanism.
When the SO₂ concentration at the flue gas inlet exceeds the designed value, the pH level in the absorption tower’s reaction pool decreases, requiring a higher Ca/S ratio. Without expanding the reaction pool volume, the desulfurization tower ensures rapid dissolution of CaCO₃, increasing calcium ion concentration to maintain optimal pH levels. This provides a buffering effect on pH fluctuations, ensuring stable and efficient desulfurization performance.
